Let yourself be swept away by the beauty of these exchanges between the bass and the soprano. The former embodies Christ; the latter, the soul of the faithful. Bach excels in these spiritual dialogues, in which he inspires us with a sense of fulfilment and peace. His famous Double Concerto, performed here by violin and oboe, is another example of a balanced relationship. The soloists clash joyously in this jewel of the late Baroque.

Deborah Cachet, regrettably, is ill. In her place we welcome Kristen Witmer for the four concerts.

This production was realized with the support of the Tax Shelter measure of the Belgian Federal Government through Flanders Tax Shelter.
