The Treasures of the Arenberg

B'Rock Orchestra & Coline Dutilleul

Coline Dutilleul
mezzo-soprano
B'Rock Orchestra
led by Evgeny Sviridov

It is one of the oldest dynasties in the region – the House of Arenberg, which had its ancestral seat in the Eifel region and extended its power to the Netherlands and Belgium from the Middle Ages onwards. However, they had a weakness not only for politics, but also for art.

The family’s private music collection dates back to the late 17th century. And famous composers and singers visited the Arenbergs in their homes in and around Brussels. Belgian mezzo-soprano Coline Dutilleul portrays this extraordinary family and their valuable collection of sheet music.

The programme features vocal and instrumental music by Vivaldi, Handel, Campra and other contemporaries.

This production was realized with the support of the Tax Shelter measure of the Belgian Federal Government through Flanders Tax Shelter.
