Curious, passionate and hard-working are three words that perfectly describe Jeroen. At the age of 8, unsure of why, he started making music. “Maybe it was predestined?” What he loves about playing the horn is “how it sounds and looks, but it’s hard to avoid the conductor getting upset.”
On long tour flights he tries to catch up on some sleep, but an occasional gin & tonic is also quite welcome. For him, playing with B’Rock means “concerts with added sparkle”. His best B’Rock memory is playing The Creation with René Jacobs. Jeroen’s all-time favourite music piece? “Les Boréades by Rameau. It’s the quintessence of a complete work!”
