Yukie grew up in the suburbs of Tokyo, which she adored “because it’s such a cosmopolitan city”. Already at the age of 4, she started playing the violin with Shinichi Suzuki – a Japanese violist and pedagogue now world famous for his teaching methods. She loves how “each violin has a unique sound”.
If she ever finds the time for research, Yukie would like to experiment with playing with silk strings. Other music she deeply loves are the guitar compositions performed by Andres Segovia. “Because he expresses human joy, anger, sadness, and sorrow in his music”.
