Inspired by Marco Ferreri’s film La Grande Bouffe, Eat Me (first announced as A Last Supper) addresses decadence, consumption and existential emptiness. It revolves around a sumptuous banquet table, with four ‘guests’, each of whom is in the grip of their obsessions and is headed for self-destruction.

In a darkly theatrical, sensorially-overwhelming whole, Aïda Gabriels mixes Baroque splendour with soundscapes and pop intermezzos. Will you join us at the banquet table, or will you watch from the sidelines as the main characters struggle with their craving for fulfilment?

The feeling that that are freedom means so little, that our feelings are seldom ours... [m]usic theatre that can make such a feeling resonate with an audience in just over an hour: that counts.
