Jeanine De Bique & B'Rock Orchestra
For our 20 years, we return to where it all began. Join the party at DE SINGEL International Arts Center, Antwerp, for a night of scintillating suites by Händel and enchanting airs sung by star soprano Jeanine De Bique.
It will be a birthday celebration with regal gleam, featuring Water Music, Handel’s soundtrack to a royal Thames cruise, his Music for the Royal Fireworks with which King George II added extra splendor to the Treaty of Aachen in 1749, and the famous Arrival of the Queen of Sheba from Solomon.
Special guest soprano Jeanine De Bique fits perfectly into our royal story: she embodies Cleopatra, the goddess of love Venus, the powerful Minerva, and the fairy queen Titania in sparkling music by Handel, Purcell, Rameau, Zelenka, and others.
