It was Arcangelo Corelli who developed the basis for the concerto grosso and the violinconcerto at the end of the 17th century. Antonio Vivaldi built further on the principles which Corelli had developed and refined the genre further in an immense number of concerti. In this programme B’Rock chose for a serial of concerti which is illustrative for their programme choice: energetic, sparkling and full of contrasts. B’Rock invited the Austrian violist Gunar Letzbor as coach and soloist.

“Letzbor’s performance is simply exceptional. He has added lustre to a composition (Biber) that has no equal in the history of western music.” (La Stampa)
