Bach’s St. Matthew Passion is one of the most powerful and moving expressions of Christ’s passion story. From the first notes to the breathtaking final chorus, Bach has loaded the entire score with numerous subtle symbolic references to the words of the Gospel of Matthew by playing with numbers and harmonizations.
The concert on 26 March will be in two parts with a long break in between. Part 1 starts at 11h30, part 2 at 14h30.
