Shiho Ono

Violin

Shiho describes herself as independent, calm and intuitive. With both parents being musicians, it was obvious already at the age of 3 that she would play the violin and piano, since these instruments were part of her daily life. “When they attend a concert, I might get nervous, but otherwise I don’t”.

Concerning B’Rock, Shiho remembers the combining of music by Steve Reich, Ligeti and Vivaldi as “being so much fun, and the challenge of making Reich’s 3-string quartet fit together like musical Lego pieces”. When not playing music, she jumps back into family life. Shiho also adores listening to jazz with a good drink by her side as well as artwork by Turner “because the light and colours refresh my mind.”
