Tomasz Wesołowski

Shared principal bassoon *

Tomasz, also known as Tomek in the orchestra, grew up in Gdańsk in Poland. He started playing the piano at the age of six and bassoon at the age of 14. “My older brother played the instrument, so it felt natural for me to do the same”. Tomek is one of the few musicians who no longer gets nervous before a concert. “Concerts just feel like a reward for our hard work.”

He still remembers B’Rock’s first Mozart concerts with Alexander Melnikov and Rodolfo Richter. “The level of focus and music making made the actual performance unforgettable. Very beautiful and inspiring”. What he loves about B’Rock is that there is no fear of searching for new ideas and for experimentation. Some good advice that he has to offer? “The best time is now”.
